Technology

Triple-pane sealed window units

We go beyond industry technology standards with a blend of argon and krypton gas that’s added between our triple pane windows for added insulation.

Galvanized Steel

Anywhere you’d find an operating piece of hardware on a Polar window, you’ll find galvanized steel behind it. By sliding the steel into each unit behind our cranks, locks etc., we ensure nothing will come loose over time.

Heat-reflective Power Glass

Polar’s Power Glass™ reflects up to 90% radiant heat back to the source—inside in winter and outside in summer— and is able to screen out harmful ultraviolet rays.

The strengthened, tempered glass retains energy and deflects light according to your window’s location and exposure to the sun. Windows are glazed into a maintenance-free, insulated polymatrix frame.

High-density foam insulated frames

Polar fills the gaps in our window frames with two chemicals that bind together to make a highly dense, closed-cell, high-impact foam. Having this foam within each frame adds insulation, resulting in superior thermal performance and increased structural integrity.

Santoprene™ weather seals and gaskets

Polar’s Santoprene™ weather seals are a superior composite product that we apply by hand to all our windows and doors for added weather protection. It’s flexible, so it’s less likely to crack during a change in seasons, and it’s made independently from the rest of the window, making any rare fixes quick and easy!

Solar-Gold Power Spacer Bar™

Enables superior performance by substantially reducing perimeter condensation.

Seals

EXTRA WEATHER PROTECTION

At Polar, we use Santoprene™ weather seals — a superior composite product that we apply by hand to all our windows and doors for added weather protection. The benefits of using Santoprene, is that it’s flexible and won’t crack when your house shifts in different seasons.

Polar assembles it to be fully independent from the rest of the window casing, ensuring an airtight fit for maximum energy efficiency when installed, and quick and easy replacement in the rare case it fails.

Metal

GALVANIZED STEEL HAS OUR HARDWARE’S BACK.

Anywhere you’d find an operating piece of hardware on a Polar window, you’ll find galvanized steel behind it. By sliding the steel into each unit behind our cranks, locks etc., we ensure nothing will come loose over time.

We’ve actually found galvanized steel so effective when it comes to screw retention, that we decided to patent the way we use it.

Hardware

TRUSTWORTHY HARDWARE FOR ADDED SECURITY

From window cranks to locking systems, Polar only uses hardware you can trust.

With multi-point locking, our window hardware will pull your window together in multiple places for an air-tight seal that keeps weather out. Generally hardware warranties expire after several years, but as a Polar customer, yours is guaranteed for life!
